Temporary Accommodation
Macquarie Accommodation Services has numerous long-term accommodation options available for Macquarie students. You may choose not to take up any of these options, or your long-term accommodation may not be available for your anticipated arrival date. In either of these cases, you may initially require temporary accommodation when you first arrive. You need to book yourself into five nights' temporary accommodation or until you have secured long-term accommodation with the help of our Accommodation Officers.
Temporary accommodation ranges from on-campus residential colleges, such as Dunmore Lang College & Robert Menzies College, to hotels and youth hostels/backpackers). Suburbs close to Macquarie University include North Ryde (the area of Macquarie University), Marsfield, Epping, Macquarie Park, Lane Cove, and Chatswood)
To book your temporary accommodation, the following providers are frequently used by Macquarie University students.
The university's two Residential Colleges and the Macquarie University Village also offer temporary accommodation options.
