Macquarie University Accommodation Services have dedicated accommodation staff who can give you information on your accommodation options, including university accommodation, residential colleges, private accommodation, temporary accommodation and homestay.

University Accommodation

The Accommodation Office offers 5 different types of on-campus and off-campus accommodation for domestic and international Macquarie students and staff. All university accommodation complexes are fully furnished and have an onsite resident adviser, who oversees the logistics, arrival and pastoral care of students.

Macquarie Parklands
Herring Rd Apartments
Macquarie University Village
Off-campus Apartments

Residential Colleges

Macquarie University students can also arrange on-campus accommodation through Dunmore Lang College or Robert Menzies College. 

Private Accommodation

If you would prefer to arrange your own accommodation, please take a look at our Private Accommodation website. Once registered, you will be able to search and contact potential landlords around the area. Important information regarding residential laws can also be found at this website.

Temporary Accommodation

If you are unsure where you want to live, or just require accommodation for a short period of time, there are a range of temporary accommodation options around campus that you can arrange. These include hostels, lodges and hotels. For more information, please click here.

Homestay

International Macquarie University Students can arrange to live with an Australian family in what we call a homestay. Homestays provides students with a bedroom, meals, and a quiet place to study. The host family will take students into their home and help them fit into their new life in Australia. Homestays are not provided by the university, so students will need to contact homestay providers for more information. 

Airport Reception

Airport Reception is a FREE service available to all NEW Macquarie University students.

Please note: The free Airport Reception Service is not available for RETURNING students.

Attention SIBT students: To qualify for the free Airport Reception you must have already applied and secured accommodation at Macquarie Apartments (which does not include Dunmore Lang College, Robert Menzies College and Macquarie University Village). Otherwise you will be required to make your own arrangements.
